Welcome to Plattkofelalm


The alpine hut, newly built in 2016, is located in the heart of the Dolomites and bears the name of the mountain at whose foot it nestles.

The Kasseroler family warmly welcomes you to the Plattkofelalm and indulges you with delicacies from their own mountain dairy and various specialties from South Tyrolean cuisine

On our alpine pasture, 80 cattle graze, unfortunately, only 20 sheep remain due to the presence of wolves. In addition, there are 10 horses and 40 milk goats. We process the milk from 20 cows and 40 goats into delicious cheese, butter, and ricotta.

We are particularly committed to offering you fresh farm products.

Everything on your table comes either from our alpine pasture or from Gschlosserhof Gufidaun in the Eisack Valley.


Natural relaxation and healthy enjoyment are central to us.

Fresh farmer's bread is baked for you daily in the wood-fired oven. Our homemade products such as bacon, cheese, butter, bread, juices, and jams are also available for purchase and to take home.
